Herengracht 21 B&B Amsterdam
Boutique bed and breakfast in a historic Amsterdam canal house. The unique house nestled in the heart of Amsterdam’s main canals, the Herengracht, was bought thirty years ago by Ton van der Stap and Loes Olden.
Situated on one of the most peaceful and rustic parts of the Herengracht it lies within five minutes walking distance Central Station. This 17th Century canal house was taken back to its original state and has now been converted into a boutique bed and breakfast.
The Canal room with a view
The first room is the Canal Room. Located at the front of the house, on the second floor, it has an uninterupted view over the canal. The second room is at the back house, also on the second floor, and is a duplex with a living room on one level and the bedroom above. It is both bright and spacious. Both rooms are located in the seventeeth century old canalhouse.
The original seventeen century dining room
The dining room is located on the ground level of the back-house, where breakfast is served every morning with fresh and warm bread rolls, fresh juice and eggs as you please that can be made available from 8am onwards.
Historic house with contemporary art
The house is furnished with a contemporary art collection by Amsterdam artists. Many pieces are created by artists from the neighborhood.
