In the Unesco World Heritage Site
The house is situated on the Herengracht near the Jordaan, one of the liveliest districts of Amsterdam, where many bars and restaurants can be found. The canal ring is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

All attractions in Amsterdam can be reached easily from the house, either by foot or bike. Bike rentals are available round the corner at the Binnenwieringenstraat 23 for
€ 10 per day.
On Saturday you can visit the organic market near the Noorderkerk the Noordermarkt. Het Anne Frank Museum is practically around the corner, and The Movies “our cult cinema” are within walking distance.
By public transport
Also by public transport, B & B Herengracht 21 easily accessible. The tram lines ,2, 11,12, 13 & 17 stop at the nearest tram stop (Martelaarsgracht), about 4 minutes from the house.

Parking in the centre of Amsterdam is difficult but there are possibilities:
- Oosterdok – Oosterdokstraat 150

020 – 4203381 - Parking IJDok 33, about 15 minutes walk from our house, situated IJDok 33 1013 MM Amsterdam 0885421300. Handy to phone them you are on your way to park your car there and your car number will be recognized by the garage.
- Parking de Kolk – This parking is located on the Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal / Nieuwezijds Kolk , behind the Palace on the Damsquare, about 5 minutes from our house.
- Parking Olympic Stadium – Here you can park for € 15,- a day ( 24 hours guarded ) A free tramticket to Central Station, which is 5 minutes walk from our house. The Olympic Stadium is located next to the circular road (A10, divert at S108) Tram will take you to the centre.
